truth be told, i have considered adding online ads (ie: google ads) unto this blog, at the very least it might help with the defraying of "cost of operations" (as opposed to actually having to work for a living and be away from the blog LOL)
but frankly, one of the main reasons (besides stubbornly trying to keep this a "non-commercial" blog) is that generally the ads are ugly. effin' eye-sores on most sites i've been to, with no sense of discerning "design" - i wonder how effective are they in the first place, to "attracting" folks' clicks? i tend to "look away", ya know what i mean?
and i don't mean they have to be multi-colored flashy-monstrosities, but at least some sense of "form" and even utilitarian layouts can be configured for a more streamlined look, no? ... as advanced as the www is, i wonder why can't this be "re-programmed"?
