the vader project directory
when i first received Dov Kelemer's press release for The Vader Project, a myriad of thoughts, emotions and ideas popped into mind, not least becoz the concept of customized 1:1-scaled Vader helmets by the creme-de-la-creme of the urban art world (et al) is fanboy-brill - but also becoz i'd felt it was an interesting (to say the least, IMHO) marriage + blend of both Urban Art (Toys) and the Star Wars Universe - for sure there have been numerous examples before this event (which i might not have been aware of, no slight intended for anyone :p), but still it all resonated within me, mayhap moreso with my (half-baked) SW-fascination ... *heh**read more after the JUMP*

[01] online (quickie) interviews with the creators/customizers (both serious and silly) ...
[02] start an online flickr-groups or blog (but not without the blessings of Dov tho) - for folks to send in/submit their own interpretations of Vader (drawings and customs) - to partake of the fun, ya know? :) ... but i reckon it'll "work" in tandem only or trailed to the actual event launch itself ... but with the show launch barely 2 days away, the point is probably moot, and i seriously doubt if folks will be able to get back to me in time (if at all) but i will soldier-on! [03] i'll try to feature as many Vader helmet-designs, as i find them (in lieu of event images, which i am sure will come in time) - and since i can't be there physically, i'd rather be able to view them online, than not at all ... so without further adieu, this blog-post shall be a
I want to be the friendly guy, I want to feel good about the people I know who got that email and later a helmet, but I just can't help feeling a bit envious that I'm not in on this.
