OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FOR PUMA FRIDGE:

Santiago, Chile, November 30th, 2007 – As a way of bringing the brand closer to the region and generating a direct relationship with their consumers, PUMA Latin America launches the PUMA Fridge, a regional newsletter.

According to the Internet 2.0 concept, young people nowadays don’t only want to be informed about what brands do, but they also want to participate in the contents these generate, and the PUMA Fridge has been created under this idea. In this fridge, consumers may inform themselves about everything that’s happening in Latin America, events, campaigns, new launches, and they can also participate in it’s appearance, downloading gifts, uploading their own designs; everything in a relaxed environment, full of humor.
As Matias Wolff, Regional Marketing Manager explains, “Troughout our lives Fridges in our homes have done much more than just keeping our food fresh, they are also real “Bulletin boards” and family information centers, that’s why we took this element and turned it into our PUMA Fridge”.

Every section of the Fridge is related to things you would find in a real refrigerator; so, if the mouse goes over the lettuce, for example, a text globe will appear and say “fresco como lechuga” (in English “fresh as lettuce”), where the consumer will find the newest sports events. In this same way every element will have it’s own content. The PUMA Fridge will have a periodic information renewal and will constantly integrate new sections to keep the relationship fresh with it’s community.

(cheers for the headsup, Mauro and Fede!)
