Kidrobot is set to
release their
ZOOMIES series of blindboxed-figures on Jan 10th. there are 17 pieces featuring Fritz and friends to collect (cars and zoomies come separately within the case) in a case of 20 blindboxes @ US$7.95-per box ... there's also a
ZOOMIES CHASE RACE (scavenger-hunt roadtrip-style) to launch the series :)

my question would be: does the vehicle come with the "draw-back" function that uses friction to propel it forward? (pls do pardon my obvious lack of technical-expertise in the area of toytalk/manufacturing terms here LOL) ... at the very least it wouldn't just remain "stagnant" as a figure, innit? then there's literally not much difference between these babies than fastfood-freebies, IMHO ...
objectively speaking, venturing beyond the realms of designer art toys, this series sees KR going down the super-deformed kiddie-cutey-friendly toy-route (along with
Yo Gabba Gabba et al) - perhaps as an entry point to
reel in educate the young'uns about "art toys" earlier, yeh? (i wouldn't know and don't pretend to know for fact :p) - i like the dozer-mobile riding trucker-Rhino with yellow-birdie myself *heh* ...
Zoomies is designed by KR-founder
Paul Budnitz (and not to be confused with UK's
Zoomies, yeh? :p)
