the fall by tarsem singh

Tarsem Singh's The Cell teases and tears at my psyche and dances with my imagination, a shadow-partner with no feet, floating prancing tippy-toe whispers, subconscious manifest unto a static screen for all and sundry (an audience for one, me and me alone) ... yep, i adored The Cell.

Tarsem's vision (i would pressume) in that visual-opus was instrumental in forming a huge reference point for most of my visual recognitive desires and vivid nightmares-made-delish - remembering when i first relished the gorgeous imagery which paid tribute to candy-goth and tainted-rainbows in the netherminds where all was pretty and putrid ... glorious, glorious indeed (no doubt with the delicate visual tapestry of production designer Tom Foden) ... and as much as folks have panned the movie, it still remains a unspoken gem to me til this day (heck, i even "cyber-stalked" the flick LOL)

... and it wasn't until i tracked-backed to a link via Popsucker (*i <3 trackbacks*) and found the existence of The Fall = originally released in 2006, currently seeing a re-release in March by David Fincher and Spike Jonze (howz that for support? frakme!) ... and while all i can do at this point is relish at the trailer that ~~promises~~ teases yet another mindtrip of gorgeous imagery, with production designer Ged Clarke (frankly, the thing with "gorgeous visuals" is, most times i'd rather not be too distracted by "the story" - fulfilling or lack-thereof" - as long as the pace is steady, im good :p) ... and trackdown+mirror images from across the cyberway and plonk it all down here ... enjoy them, as much as i have, thus far. (next paycheck i'll go track down the dvd, if there be any - heh :p)

Plot Outline: "In a hospital a little girl with a broken collar bone meets a bedridden man who starts telling her a fantastical story which reflects his state of mind. As time goes by fiction and reality start to intertwine in this uplifting epic fantasy."
