The AM4040 show [tagged] brought together 40 top artists and designers from around the world to customise a reproduction of the original 1966 Action Man. The show ran for two weeks at the Blink Gallery in London, and was rounded up by an auction, rising over £10,000 for the chosen charities.
Unfortunately due to production problems with the (previously planned) special edition printed version, CLUTTER has since released it as an online edition instead - now made available to purchase in their online store for the bargain price of £1 (or US$2 approx). Inclusive of the 110 pages are images of the customs and behind the scenes info.
Seriously tho, "Designer" x "1:6 Scaled" = it doesn't get any better than this, IMHO! (well, especially for a 1/6th-enthusiast like me :p) ... here's a coupla Sample Pages for your consideration :)

Those Michael Lau and Triclops ones rock!! I've still got some Action Men lying around waiting to be turned into something... Hope I'll find the time soon
