400ml project
Rhai from HypeQuest had sent word of their coverage for 400ML (all pics via) = a recently ended exhibition whereby a whopping amount of 400 x Spray Can Art and Customs, by as many a international artists where on display @ Maison des metallos (October 28th to November 5th) - in tribute to street artists. Curated by Gautier Jourdain (who in turn was inspired by Jean Faucheur, major artist and mentor for the whole new generation of street artists) - an exact amount of 400 bombs were collected - with "400 ML" being the standard volume for spray cans in Europe.
According to HQ's report, a total of two years of work "were needed to collect the bombs, engage with artists, archive data and store the collection. As the project progressed, it seemed that more than a book documenting the voluminous collection was needed, particularly to support future exhibitions. Each bomb was photographed in the same scene, considering the project was an exercise in style between the fun and art. A book of 400 pages edited by Kitchen93 will be previewed during this first exposure and sold at the price of 32 EUROS."
