1/6 Commando Cody by Go Hero x Executive Replicas (License Announcement)

Go Hero and Executive Replicas announces their next figure in a line of classic icons: a 1:6 scaled COMMANDO CODY! Plans are afoot to showcase the WIP-figure at this weekend's New York Comic Con 2009 (Feb 6-8 @ booth 956).
COMMANDO-CODY

""Ol' Bullet Head" is one of the great heroes and influential designs coming from the movie serial era of the 1940s and having his own TV show in the 1950s. Commando Cody rocketed away on many adventures with several actors donning that unmistakable helmet." CLICK THRU FOR MORE (*Possible heavy-page load*)

"This amazing design inspired the likes of George Lucas who created, among other things, a character named Commander Cody! Also directly influenced was one of our favorite artists Dave Steven's, creator of the Rocketeer ... This figure is in development NOW and we are giving it the high-end treatment. If all goes according to plan, (fingers crossed), We will have a Work in Progress ready by NYCC! Full features and product description coming soon!" [via Go Hero]

RADARMEN

"Commando Cody was the hero in a 12-episode science-fiction serial made in 1952 by Republic Pictures entitled Radar Men from the Moon, which was followed up 1953 with the 12 episode Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe ... Commando Cody serials are sometimes confused with King of the Rocket Men (1949), because the rocket-powered flying suit worn by the title character also became a wardrobe piece worn by Cody. Now, I may have gone "slightly" overboard (*cough*) with the image-search collection of Commando Cody in-action - with the intent to provide sufficient visual-reference to the character, I insist! (Gawds by I do lurve his zoot-suit-style pants!) - so please do bear with me for this post-loading:
