From Mind To Matter is a 2-man show coming to ToyQube (opening July 18th) - featuring work from artist Brent Nolasco and sculptor NEMO. TRE-IMPRESSIONS: Looking upon Brent's work, is like hearing a silent but deafening scream, most times ... or of a visual-scape manifestation, eager to tell you something - be it a story, an emotion or even sharing something less intense as the image may suggest ... And it is not just about looking pretty nor shockingly macabre, but somewhat the notion that it is as much about story-telling, than it is about craft - which the man, no doubt, has in spades. Hopefully with this coming show (and previews), we may yet understand further about the inner workings of the artist.
ABOUT BRENT NOLASCO: Artist / Toy Customizer. The development of my art involves constant evolution to new ideas and new forms. Progression and change are what I live for. My art gives me the opportunity to create different situations and environments from the landscapes in my mind. I like to break down and rebuild surfaces using various mixed media. Everything in my life and art intermingle into harmony for me.
