PRESS: Now they come to life together in the form of cute, quirky -and occasionally mischievous- little robots! SUSHIBOTS can be whatever and whoever you like, but they start out as three of the most popular varieties of makizushi: Alaskabot (Alaska roll), Ebibot (Ebi roll), and Calibot (California roll). Sushibots are ready to fill your day with coolness, love, and flavor! (and a hint of fresh geekiness).

Designed by Jose Lorenzo Pacheco at Pez Banana (Zulia, Venezuela) - you can now preorder your very own 5.5 inch tall resin Sushibot via Patch Together for US$30-per (Release date TBD).

SUSHIBOT shares one unique mold, but, as in real-life sushi, SUSHIBOTS can come in a crazy variety of flavors and colors. Three colorways, with each a different character:

ALASKABOT (alaska roll - with a perplex robotic face)
EBIBOT (ebi roll - with a grumpy bossy face)
CALIBOT (california roll - she is a girl, with a dreamy cute face)

QTN: How did the SUSHIBOTS come about?

JOSE LORENZO PACHECO: SUSHIBOT exists because of my love of SUSHI and ROBOTS, and, of course, TOYS!
i just can't remember exactly when i created them, since i have loved these things forever and so SUSHIBOTS seem to have been alive in my head for as long as i can remember... just like those friends you have met recently but feel like you've known each other all your lives.

However, i can tell you this: SUSHIBOTS are cute, small, quirky, funny, sleepy, lovable, mischievous, spicy, geeky, and fun!


QTN: What do you think makes SUSHIBOTS appeal to collectors?

JOSE LORENZO PACHECO: The best thing about SUSHIBOT is that everybody can relate, and become friends with, one or more different little robots, because there is one for every personality and taste out there, whether you are bohemian and artsy, girly and cute, or urban and cool.
