Lifestyle: "Gundam" Cell Phone by Softbank (Gunpla 945SH G Ver. GP30th)
On the personal-front, I have been struggling with the desire of having a brand new mobile phone for the past few years, with my heart set on an Apple iPhone (am currently holding out for the next Gen), all the while living with a busted Nokia with a busted-screen ... and then I saw this: A GUNDAM PHONE! *Geek-out @ Gunpla 945SH G Ver. GP30th*
Kotaku.com-reports: "Japanese cell phone carrier Softbank will be releasing a Sharp 12.1 mega-pix OLED "Gunpla" cell phone this summer. There are also decals, pre-installed software, and a truly epic Gunpla cell phone cradle." [CLICK THRU for more snaps]
Pre-order begins May 19th (no information on "where" tho), with a September release (Price TBA).
The phone is called "Gunpla 945SH G Ver. GP30th" (with the theme deriving from E.F.S.F. and Gundam RX-78-2). The phone is predominately white in color, with the battery cover resembling the Gundam's shield (So what the model is showing off in top-image is actually the back of the phone). The set also comes with a phone-recharger that also works as a display base for the 1/100 scale Gunpla figure that comes with the phone.
