Event: Shady Characters @ Alcove Gallery (Aug 6)

"Shady Characters" is a group art show organized by Brian Colin (who had also created a promotional website for the event @ shadycharactersart.com which currently features artists bios) scheduled to open ugust 6th (7pm-midnight) at Alcove Gallery. Brian adds: "For a few years now I've been customizing toys, which introduced me to sculpting. I found that I really love using my hands and seeing my ideas come to life all dimensional but the scale just didn't have the impact I wanted. So for this show I have gone bigger (life sized) with a menagerie of fantastical creatures mounted like taxidermy on wooden plaques."
