MAY-2

WHAT WAS POSTED: Custom-Toys from Fail2Evolve and Alarmant were completed for Munnyworld Mwegacontest, while Jason Freeny wowed with his entry for the 50th Anniversary of MAD magazine's "Spy vs Spy". And the Mecha-NightGamer teaser from Plaseebo indeed wowed me!

Additional non-competition/show customs came from GlenFernandez and WuzOne. We continue our serial-Q&A and feature with a Tarnished Daydreams custom with Doktor A, and wrapped up Monday with a delish custom-trio from Southerndrawl. Always quite boon for customs on a Monday.

Product announcement came in the form of the OriginalFake 5th Anniversary KAWS Companion 70% BE@RBRICK by Medicom Toy (which is FREE but not for sale!), and Susuten's Acid Rain vs. Drippies Plushies to start off the week, and the announcement of a new Lemi Print & Orderable Tees from Thunderpanda.

You want shows? We have a couple of upcoming ones: one in Hollywood featuring New Toys for Melancholics by Gabriels @ TAG, and A ridiculous game in The ▲ from Dorcas Ng in the UK - both events start May 6th. Sneak-peeks came courtesy of Andrew Bell for New Dimensions @ Bold Hype Gallery (May 12)

On the moving visual front - we get to see Part 1 of Big Kev's Geek Stuff's video coverage of Toy Street (with swell interviews), and a TV Spot for Tomenosuke's Charity Campaign TOY HELP US (In Japanese with no subs tho). Overall a pretty nice spread to start off your brand new week, and the month of May in!

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY: May 2nd in Singapore, saw a Public Holiday this Monday (a holdover from Sunday's "Labour Day") and a free day for me not needing to attend my weekly rehab-session in the morning, nor acupuncture in the afternoon (yay!) and generally lounging about taking a rest before bloggery started in the evening. The day was punctuated with the reports of Osama Bin Ladin's demise, via tweets reporting "live" with commentary of America's President Obama's television appearance, and I can only but cross my fingers for the folks caught in the path of retaliation - but hey, we have our own nation's elections coming next weekend to contend with, so I stay away from further discussions in this matter.

[L-R: Richard, me, Jats - only Richard had the right idea looking at the camera lol]

TOYSREVIL as well hosted a welcomed visit from Jats Gills of BitBots and his friend Richard, and managed to grope at some toys at the same time! You know how i like groping ...eerr,,, I meant "handling" news toys, yeh? (Heh) Some of which will see a posting in days to come, while others, well … I'll only but post this group pic with something "interesting" thrown into the mix (and I do not mean my funky hair ;p) … we'll just have to wait for the right time to let loose some coolness, yeh folks? Overall a swell day to be had, methinks! Go visit http://www.bitbots.co.uk for some goodies, go!
