On Kickstarter: Chums - Terror of the Deep

KICKSTARTER-TEXT: "Part character design and part industrial design, Chums is made of physics, vinyl and an insatiable desire to hold that pen up high. Chums was the subject of intensive (and humane) testing in the modeling phase in order to ensure stability and a perfect fit for a tablet pen. If you’re worried that someone may come by and abscond with your pen, Chums comes with 22 menacing teeth to deter any would-be thieves."

Currently listed on Kickstarter is CHUMS, with a goal of raising US$25,000 to make a prototype and work with a factory to produce 2000 painted and packaged Chums. The cost as well includes Casting the production mold, making many Chums, painting many Chums and packaging many Chums.

Also on the plans are Limited Editions (Run of 200 Chums with special paint job), and Special Editions -(Unique Chums with one of a kind paint job from a local artist). Personally a little articulation might well bring this figurine to a "toy" category, rather than a possible "novelty accessory", IMHO.
