Now Accepting Fanart or Homage work based on the animation movie AKIRA

Reacting to Hollywood's news that the live-action feature film for AKIRA has just been given the "green light", I grimace in fear, of both the adaptive changes, and of how my revered classic might get tainted beyond redemption - but instead of slamming the production even before it begun, I choose to honor the classic film instead, and the spirit it presented.
From henceforth, I will be accepting submissions of illustrations or custom toys, or custom-builds - done in homage of this classic - to be featured on the blog. It could be a straightup homage, it could be an adaptation, it could be a 'what-if'. Hit me at toysreviler [at] gmail.com with the subject title: "I LOVE AKIRA".
THIS IS NOT A CONTEST, and is an on-going project, and will run the course as long as I deem fit (which might be until the 'new' film actually premieres, or afters ;p). As well include a mention of how the 1988-movie affected you, and how you feel about it, then and now.
As well I evoke the right to not guarantee a posting, if I feel your submissions are not 'sincere' to this homage.
Currently there is a "Art Of Akira" website via artofakira.com if you just intend to view and gawk (as I have had on numerous occasions) and as well they include behind-the-scenes look at the original movie! *GAWKFEST*
And if you miss out on what "AKIRA" actually is, no worries - get up to speed on Wiipedia, and do yourselves a favor, and rent/buy/borrow the film, and watch it.
