The Hibernating Sicklings by Yosiell Lorenzo


Yosiell Lorenzo has been "growing" somethings in jars recently and they sure look .. fun! Released last Friday, these creatures are called "Sicklings" (they live off snails and make their own tea out of dew) and are cast in resin 4.5" hand painted figures.

Besides the figure itself, Yosiell has gone the complete "package" with the containers being part of the story-telling as well. The jars have a light brown tint with a puddle of clear epoxy and shredded aspen wood fibers. The jars have custom labels and hang tags attached by twine.

Each figures comes with a poem on what the Sicklings enjoy and how they prepare for the winter to come (That's what the prose in the video above is!).
