Chronicle

From whatever I have seen online, the above promotion stunt to promote the movie CHRONICLE (which launches in Singapore this week) is more visually amazing than the trailers I have been seeing, IMO. Check out the movie trailer posted below.

I have much love for the human-with-superhuman-powers without-wearing-spandex genre, since the seminal Misfits of Science, to the early two seasons of HEROES. "Chronicle" is a take on said genre, but features a trio of high-school kids with personality disorders (think every other American student portrayed on celluloid), and inclusive of "found footage" (aka think "Cloverfield", or the mother of all celluloid ff-films; "Blair Witch Project").


Perhaps it will be an awesome film. Perhaps it would be a gem amongst fantasy films to be released in 2012. Perhaps I will know for sure when I rent or purchase the pre-loved DVD from the local movie-rental store when the time comes. Enjoy your film, folks!
