The Lone Ranger and Tonto from Disney

LONE-RANGER

When I first read online Johnny Depp would be considered in the live-action feature film The LONE RANGER, I was pretty mortified. As much as I like The Depp, constantly seeing him in different depths of eye-shadow, would have been a tad overkill, especially after Pirates of the Carribean (am bracing myself for 'Dark Shadows' actually) … and now? He has a black bird on his head, and looking like a variation of Sparrow in "Dead Man's Chest". Say hello to "Tonto".

I was half-way enjoying this visual, until I recognized The Depp's sullen look. I am fearful. But heck, here's hoping they do something "new" for western cowboy imagery, more than Cowboys & Aliens did anyways …
