Valiant Comics' Bloodshot As A Movie?

Like a chunk of comicbook collectors during the era of startups like IMAGE and VALIANT in the 90s, I had collected every single first few issues of Valiant's new line, including BLOODSHOT (who could forget/forgo the colored chromium cover featuring Barry Winsor-Smith artwork? LOL) - which according to SlashFilm, might well make it to the silver-screens.
"Angelo Mortalli is a hitman on the rise who the Carboni crime family sells to Project Rising Spirit, which erases his memories and infuses his bloodstream with microscopic machines called nanites that turn him into a killing-machine and engine of destruction. Oblivious to his true identity, the man who would become Bloodshot flees from Rising Spirit’s laboratories to learn who he is.

Bloodshot is a Harbinger with the ability to dominate electrical devices and read computers directly through physical contact, and a triumph of bio-engineering whose nanite-rich blood gives him superhuman speed, agility, healing powers, and total control of his body."

Produced by Neal H. Moritz (Fast and the Furious, 21 Jump Street) with a script by Jeff Wadlow, with the movie under the Sony banner - is this the beginning of a series of Valiant-characters to come?

VALIANT-PROPERTIES

I remember reading Marvel's New Universe decades back, and thinking "these concepts might well make swell genre movies" (back in the 80's anyways) and when characters from Valiant appeared in print, it felt the same way. No small wonder as Jim Shooter was helming both lines at different times. The concept of super-powers possessed by humanoids anchored in the "real world", leads itself very strongly to film-adaptation, methinks.

My personal nominees for films? Eternal Warrior, Harbringer, Archer & Armstrong, Ninjak, and XO. I'll also take this opportunity to post a drawing of Iron Man vs XO - something I doodled over a decade back! LOL
