TR!CKSTER 2012 @ San Diego
While the annual San Diego Comic-Con rages on, another event is happening just opposite of the SDCC-venue, named TR!CKSTER [www] - where the focus is on "CREATOR-DRIVEN demonstrations and discussions of method, process, and theory concerning the act of creating new, uniquely-voiced works of art." - in essence, the basis of Comic-Con before media took over the show LOL
Created by Scott Morse and Ted Mathot (both Pixar artists btw) - the event was conceived to be an "alternative" to SDCC. Events included Art Demos from Jim Mahfood, Jill THompson, and Scott Morse, and as well a workshop with Michael Golden.

Sadly I came pretty "late" to the game (heck, TR!CKSTER closes shop on Sunday), but you can peep snaps of the event on their dedicated Tumblr -which showcases images of Jeff Pidgeon's TR!CKSTER Fox Paint Masters, and the debut of his new EVIL BEAVER toy (featuring Frank Kozik)!
