Custom-Feature: The Love & Hate by Nakanari (for Giant Robot Biennale 3)
Nakanari shares with us his "Love & Hate" custom vinyl pieces made from a Uglydoll kaiju figure and the Giant Robot mascot figure for the Giant Robot Biennale 3 show - currently on show at the Japanese American National Museum.
"The set is meant to represent that, even for famous anthropomorphic, pant-wearing mice, maintaining a relationship can be a difficult endeavor. Love and hate are moments in time rather than a guaranteed constant. The reverence for the characters by which these pieces are influenced is especially high in Japan, as evidenced by the fact that Tokyo became the very first country outside of the America to build and operate their own theme park resort version."
