First Look at Optimus Prime & Autobot Cars for 'Transformers 4'
UPDATED: I had earlier joked about the appearance of "Optimus Prime", director Michale Bay has since revealed Optimus with a new "design"! Or rather, upgraded the truck to a more lush and sleek design - described as "completely upgraded, custom-built Optimus Prime from Western Star (a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America)." (via SHH).
And yep, no robot designs shown yet :p
Online websites have been calling these images "Two New Autobots", but they are simply images of the CARS that would eventually turn into Autobots. Originating from a press release via Yahoo!Movies, the above C7 Corvette Stingray is a special race-inspired beauty, based on Chevrolet's upcoming 2014 production car. While the below brute is a 1,200-horsepower Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse "worth more than a whopping $2.4 million!"
Wow, them Autobots are getting pretty luxurious on Earth, aren't they? I wonder if "Optimus Prime" is still a truck? Heh.
Supposedly shot on the set of "Transformers 4" near the border of Arizona and Utah, at situations like these, I miss the sexiness of Megan Fox leaning over the cars … call me sexist but hey, if you can't give us images of the Transformers themselves (which Michael Bay touts as "all new designs"), then at least give us sexist pics of women leaning against them, no?
