This year's list is a mixture of usual suspects, some collectibles of suspect, and more than half listed being mass production products, with no doubt "product recognition" ruling the decisions of many. Nominated by the public, not due to it's sales bottom line, but via fan's recommendations. Quite a diverse group, nevertheless.
"A Little Misfortune" brings a smile to my face, and I have a personal liking for DYZPlastic's "Androids", and I managed to purchase a few Apocalypse Dunny for myself, so frankly I can only gauge from what I have in my own collection, and the results could go anywhere, really.
"Mini-figures" are slowly but surely gaining ground in the collective collector mindsets these last couple of years. While a regular nostalgic mainstay, the emphasis on diminutive figurines gained traction when OMFG brought back the notion of M.U.S.C.L.E.-themed collectibles, and the next thing you know, folks are downsizing their pieces, instead of upsizing characters barely two to three years ago. Perhaps Series 2 of "Outlandish Mini Figure Guys" might walk away with the title instead?
