"Edge of Tomorrow": Official Trailer & Introduction
EDGE OF TOMORROW sees "a soldier fighting in a war with aliens finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle, though he becomes better skilled along the way." (IMDb). An adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's "All You Need Is Kill" (coincidentally the movie's previous name, actually), the film stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, and is directed by Doug Liman ("Bourne Identity", "Mr and Mrs Smith"). Scheduled for a 6 June 6th, 2014 premiere in the USA.
I'd imagine it's Groundhog Day meets any video-game scenario with military action against alien invaders, probably LOL

The thing about Tom Cruise movies are, despite how you might or might not like the actor, or his personal religion, are that his movies are always of a particular "quality", and visual entertainment value, that makes it watchable, and yes, even entertaining. And that is enough for me :)
TOY-wise, I could wax lyrical about how these mecha-designs would make swell action figures, but the fact is, if they were not made by, say, threezero (infamous for their quality mecha-makes for 3A Toys), then it would be of no coherent "value", of there were instead made mass market with utilitarian plastic exoskeletons and poor paint-applications, innit? hahaha
