Art Toy Culture Festival @ Dongdaemun Design Park, Seoul, South Korea (May 1-5, 2014)
Launching May 1st and exhibiting through May 5th in Seoul, South Korea, is the first "Art Toy Culture Festival", joining the convention landscape of this culture we dwell in, and as importantly (for me personally), an event happening in Asia.
And while most conventions encompass the gamut of pop and subculture, scant few cater exclusively to "art toys" (most notably ToyConUK) and is of extreme interest to myself! A quick look at the exhibitors list shows a splendid array of indie brands and artisans for art and designer toys, as well as a healthy dose of 1/6. What I would give to be there to meet folks like Coolrain, Uptempo Lee of Hands in Factory, BHead (#OMGOMGOMG) and many more I have not met nor know of before!

ATC Seoul 2014 is set to take place in the DDP (Dongdaemun Design Park by Zaha Hadid) @ Art Hall 1 - 465-5 Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul 110-848, SOUTH KOREA, and the images look impressive thus far!
As well (as announced on their Facebook), there will be a group show "ALL CITY STYLE" - featuring 30 artists work on Bigshot Toyworks' "All-City Style" train carriages! (Poster designed by Kove Lee). Nothing like a group custom show to run off sales of toys, methinks :)
