Sneak Peeks of Installation Works by ZERO for BANG! BANG! WONDERLAND
Preview of installation for Coming Home Project 2014 featuring the work of ZERO for BANG! BANG! WONDERLAND, opening June 7th @ Kovan Hub. Here is what Zulkarnaen Othman AKA "ZERO" had to say about his project for Coming Home:
"I am creating a parodical house that looks like a cross between monopoly and UP. Within the structure itself there will be an installation of artworks either created by the participants of my workshop or inspired by my conversations with them. That’s all I am revealing for now, if you want to know more I guess you have to come by and see it for yourself along with the other artworks by other artists involved in this wonderful project." WHAT-IS-COMING HOME: "Coming Home is a contemporary art project which features an unique Community Residency programme for 22 local artists. These artists are from film, photography, sound, street, installation and other forms of contemporary art background.
These artists have guided, taught and learned through workshops with residents. All to 'Make A Difference' for and to the neighbourhood. The residency and workshops will cumulate to a showcase of 22 houses.
The Aljunied and Tampines community will work with their respective Artists to create and build the interiors of 22 houses measuring 2 metres by 2 metres by 2 metres."
WHAT-IS-BANG! BANG! WONDERLAND: "BANG! BANG! wonderland is an art wonderland filled with larger than life visual arts installations. The 12 houses of the Coming Home project in Aljunied Cluster, are curated into a whimsical and curious township, filled with bizarre characters, arty people and all matters of art to guide you on a fun contemporary art experience.
