"Special Dance Art Performance & Enlightened Chou Cleansing Ceremony @ 台北當代藝術館 MOCA Taipei for "The Door Is Always Open" by Gary Baseman

"Special Dance Art Performance" and "Enlightened Chou Cleansing Ceremony" happened today in Taiwan - with June 28th designated as "Gary Baseman Day" - with Gary Basemen and his WildGirls (all 20 of them) all decked out in faux ceremonial duds and populating the grounds at 台北當代藝術館 MOCA Taipei with a ceremony lasting from 2pm to 4pm. And thanks to Gary's instagram @garybaseman, we get to soak in the festivities via the www!

Kudos to Gary, who would put gamely put on a spectacle such as this - not that many a folks I'd imagine would or even attempt to "entertain" as such, IMHO. Had a fleeting chance to shake the man's hand in his 'Walk of Fame' booth in STCC 2009, and him not knowing about the TOYSREVIL blog, was a reality-waker-upper and kicker for me to work even harder on my blog then LOL

Check out his IG for more snaps of the exhibit (and the preparation for) "The Door Is Always Open" - which exhibits thru August 24th - and for his adventures in Taipei :)
