AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 (Sept 17-20) #APCCManila
"Geek conventions" are ramping up existence in Asia, and the next event to fill the pop-culture landscape is the inaugural AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 (APCC Manila) - opening September 17th and showcasing thru Sept 20th @ World Trade Center in Pasay City - from new event players "Universal Events & Entertainment", with plans to bring APCC to Abu Dhabi (2015) and Korea (2016).
Currently announced guest / featured artists include American comic book artist and writer David Mack, Comicbook artist David Yardin and Filipino artists; Carlo Pagulayan, Leinil Yu, Mark Torres, Mico Suayan, Stephen Segovia and the ever epic Whilce Portacio will dazzle fans with their splendid art, and keeping the "Comic" component of the convention strong.
"On the hunt" AKA reviewing your portfolio would be Senior Vice President of DC Entertainment, Hank Kanalz. And from Marvel will be C.B. Cebulski, the Vice President of International Development & Brand Management of Marvel.
Folks representing the "Vinyl Toy" contingent include Chris Ryniak, Amanda Louise Spayd, J*RYU and Simone Legno of tokidoki.
And what's a convention without "celebrities"? Jason Momoa ("Khal Drogo" in HBO's "Game of Thrones", "Aquaman" in Zack Snyder's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice") will be in attendance.
