"Silent Frequency" by Phil Noto @ Stranger Factory (April 1-May 1, 2016)
Stranger Factory presents a new exhibit in April from returning artist Phil Noto! "Silent Frequency" opens Friday April 1st, from 6-9 pm with a reception open to the public, and exhibits thru May 1st, 2016.
EVENT PRESS: "Silent Frequency finds Noto's signature style in top form, as the artist brings beautiful new paintings to life, comprised of soft dream-like portraits juxtapozed with bold graphic elements and typography. This newest body of work hints at sci-fi, transporting the viewer further into the artist's future vision often playing with modern advertising illustration techniques, with nods to classic pulp cinema posters, and silver age sci-fi novels. Covers to books yet to be written, posters to films yet to be; Noto's master paintings are portraits of future protagonists with secret pasts, often portraying subtle expressions that few artists are capable of capturing, drawing us further and further in to his continued narrative."
In addition to his art, two brand new giclee prints from Phil's last sold out exhibition will also be made available.
"Both images (on left) SUPERNOVA, and (on right) 1999 were produced as editions of 50 (each). SUPERNOVA and 1999's image sizes are approximately 11" x 17", printed on 13" x 19" archival water color paper (with archival inks) and are numbered and signed by the artist."
