"Rapid Rouge" (for #JapanAnimatorExpo)
I’ve featured this on my I Not Otaku!-blog yesterday, and really wanted to share this HERE as well! “Rapid Rouge” / “Shinsoku no Rouge" (神速のRouge) is a 7-minuter short in 2015’s Japan Animator Expo (Ep #24), directed and written by Daisuke Onitsuka.
Revolutionaries from the Yatsushima nation try to rescue their surrendered master, in this exceptional hyper-noir stylish animated short, that has an extremely appealing concept of samurai-wear x tactical military (loving the machine gun handle wrapped like a katana’s handle!), and is dying to be made TOY! Failing which, an on-going anime would be ideal haha
STORYLINE: "The times have changed from a petroleum war to that of a global water conflict. Yatsushima, a nation rich in water resources, was taken over by neighboring countries which turned the Yatsushima government into its puppet. With their water resources drained, the people suffer greatly. Young men and women fed up with their circumstances stand up to lead the Yatsushima Revolution, and the sparks of a new battle are ignited." (IMDb)
