Stay tuned to continued coverage of M’S PRODUCTION & CO on #TOYSREVIL!TOYSREVIL: How was 2016 for you? Share with us your most triumphant moment in 2016. Any disappointments you’d like to share with us?
Mankas, TAKU: “2016 was wonderful, meaningful and memorable to me, starting with the 1st version of di’dot – “in seach of happiness” together with Feather Made, the genius designer from Canada. Following is the “who am i?” with my great mentor and partner, Johnson Tsang. And next, sculpted the first “jobi the moon fox” prototype for Kaiser Luna, producing “flower fox” with Knoa Chung, “pineapple bun girl” with Helen Tam, “1/4 scale baigujing” with sculpting teacher, Mr. O and sculpted 5 pieces of 1/6 scale head for DevilToys. With my own design, “takuboy” is a reflection of my own childhoods and personal story.

M’S PRODUCTION & CO. (MSPC) is honor and grateful to participate its first time TTF during October in Taipei, learn and meet a lot of good friends, interesting parties, designers and clients there. I would say it’s a very supportive, efficient and successful event to expose my company, MSPC in public and we will see you guys again there in 2017. Would like to take this valuable chance to special thanks to all my distributors: Monster Taipei in Taiwan, JP TOYS in Thailand, 拆盒網 in China, artmultipleart in Germany. FOR SURE TOYSREVIL for the continuous support and report of M’S products. All the designers who work and partnering with me . Last but not least, thanks to my family and my wife, Yvonne who helps taking care of my two sons so I could focus to work for my dream.”
TOYSREVIL: What is your most favorite toy, or piece of art you've seen in 2016?
Mankas, TAKU: “Being a 1/4 scale statue collector for many years, I would vote for XM STUDIOS (Singapore) – “The Darkness”. I was lucky to score one and such awesome design and quality is what I have to respect, learn from and studied. Keep up the good works XM!”

TOYSREVIL: What are you most looking forward to in 2017? Any plans for your work, for the new year you can share with us? Or not share with us, but can tease us with?
Mankas, TAKU: “After all SOLD OUT of the 1st di’dot & its AP version, in 2017, MSPC will start with the new di’dot – “empty”, an interesting and exciting try with Feather Made again to use transparent blue resin for planet cube, 2 light bulbs and for sure, the polystone di’dot sitting together inside the cube. Hope you guys will enjoy and have fun with this new style of di’dot.
Following is the Kaiser’s “The Boxing Cats” polystone series and Johnson’s new design “walk with mao” using a new designed packaging way after wood box of “who am i?”. Collaboration projects continue with existing designers and with some new Hong Kong, Japan and Macau design team. In 2017, MSPC will try to participate more art events throughout the year. E.g. Thailand Toy Expo and Art Toy Culture both in May, SDCC in July, STGCC in Sept, TTF in Oct. Hope to meet you guys in 2017. Say HI & CHEERS fellows!”
