VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS Teaser Trailer #2

Launched is the 2nd “Teaser Trailer” for Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets! Join “Valerian” and “Laureline” in their outer-worldly future adventures, from comicbooks now to live action feature film!

I was waiting for something akin to their previous ”personalised trailer” promo to happen since the trailer launched a couple days back, but I guess we’ll just have to “make do” with the stunning visuals seen here instead!

Damn, I sound so “entitled”, don’t I? LOL







There is always a heightened visual “difference” when it comes to depictions of “outer space / sci-fi” elements, with say “European” aesthetics versus American-styled designs, which I’ve always felt I’d recognise since my comicbook days in the 80s-90s - like Marvel and DC Comics (even American-based indie brands like Dark Horse etc) versus “Heavy Metal” versus 2000 A.D. comics, much less on a slightly different parallel tangent with Japanese manga (which leaned slightly toward American/West, IMHO).

Looking at the visuals here, you cannot deny the spirit of “The Fifth Element” (also directed by Luc Besson), no doubt bolstered by Mr Besson’s tastes, and European design sensibilities, IMHO, and I am utterly gagging to see this film, STAT!

Looks like I still have to wait until July 21, 2017 for when it premieres in U.S. Theaters, and July 20th in Singapore!
