KING KORPSE & INSTINCTOY for #ThailandToyExpo 2017

For their upcoming tenure at Thailand Toy Expo (May 4-7, 2017), Japan’s INSTINCTOY has prepared an epic feast of art toys - over 60 types of items will be available (*View them all here)!

This post in particular, will focus on the awesomeness that which is known as KING KORPSE (currently up for Toy Of The Year in the 2017 Designer Toy Awards too!).

Keep a keen-eye out for the "Paint Coating Artisans" Special List - whereby 6 artists from Asia were invited to custom paint the vinyl beast (scroll down for snaps), and as well folks might get to see the “2nd Act” of King Korpse - featuring an open jaw, a more dynamic body pose, and an ”accessory”!

American artist James Groman - creator of King Korpse and Rotten Rexx for Instinctoy - will be in attendance!

For for the SALE of King Koprses, a lottery sale for the newest colorway of King Korpse 『YETI』will be had, and as well Green and Blue G.I.D King Korpse blank figures (also available at Five Points Festival).

今年のTTEにて、アジアを拠点に活動しておりますアーティストで、INSTINCTOYが厳選した『”塗装の匠”彩色のスペシャリスト』6名によるKING KORPSEワンオフ作品を会場で販売させて頂きます。その内の一人、日本から参加頂いたP@inter Netの伊藤さんの作品が完成し、手元に到着しましたのでご紹介させて頂きます。 伊藤さんの持つ『クラック塗装（ヒビ割れ）』の技術に惚れ込み製作をお願いした所、ご快諾頂け今回のコラボ作品が誕生致しました。溶けて朽ち果てたかの様な仕上がりに、全体に表現されたクラックが最高のリアリティーを演出。期待を超える仕上がりにこのままオフィスに飾らせて頂きたい程魅力的な仕上がりです。販売方法等の詳細につきましては、後日、Blogで改めてご紹介させて頂きます。作品を細部迄撮影致しましたので是非ともご覧下さい。 ＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿ There are 6 artists from Asia who joined our painting project, the 『"Paint Coating Artisans" Special List』. They painted King Korpse figures which will be sold at TTE this year. I have received the painted King Korpse from one of the painters, Mr. Itou, from P@inter Net Japan, and will introduce his artwork here. I have always liked the Craquelure painting technique used by Mr. Itou. I made him an offer, and he has fulfilled my expectations for this collaboration. The melting and decaying figure design provides an excellent base to show the detailed appearance of the craquelure technique. This one-off customized figure is better than I expected. You can sense how fascinating it can be, just from the office display. 5月にタイ（バンコク）で開催のTTE INSTINCTOYブース（G7）にて開催を予定しております『塗装の匠アーティスト × KING KORPSE』のワンオフ作品販売に、日本からご参加頂く２人目のアーティスト『KENTH TOY WORKS』さんの作品が手元に到着致しましたのでご紹介させて頂きます。 作品名は、幻覚や80年代のポップなゴーストをイメージされた作品という事で、映画のタイトルっぽく『SeeThings』と名付けられました。アーティストの小森さん特有のカラフルで独創的な彩色方法と、皮膚の部分には肉の弾力を感じるリアリティー塗装で仕上げられた素晴らしい作品です。販売方法につきましては、イベント開催日までにBLOGで発表させて頂きます。どうぞ宜しくお願い致します。 ＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿ Here is the 2nd customized King Korpse in our painting project, the "Paint Coating Artisans" X KING KORPSE. Because this edition was conceptualised as a combination of hallucination and an 80's pop ghost, he has been given a name just like a movie title. The artist, Mr. Komori, has a unique colorful style. This edition is amazing, and looks as if his skin has excellent elasticity. 今月末から始まる海外イベントにて、KING KORPSEの緑蓄光素体＆青蓄光素体を発売させて頂きます。5月にタイで開催のTTE＆ニューヨークで開催のFIVE POINTSでは、アーティストのJAMES GROMANさんをお招きしてのサイン会も予定しております。今回、初登場の緑蓄光は青蓄光の2倍以上の輝度で発光する光輝度蓄光モデルとなります。どちらも同じ蓄光素体ながら、ドールアイの搭載有り（青蓄光）、無し（緑蓄光）で表情の違いも演出しており、素体の色味も若干違い雰囲気が異なります。4月下旬の台湾での共同個展、5月のTTE&FIVE POINTS、6月の上海SSF単独個展にて先行発売を予定しておりますのでどうぞ宜しくお願い致します。 Green and blue G.I.D King Korpse blank figure will be available at the toy shows we are attending from the end of this month. The artist, James Groman, will be there with us and will also be autographing at TTE Thailand and the Five Points Festival New York show in May. The green G.I.D glows much brighter than the blue. Another difference between the two is that the blue G.I.D figures have doll eyes, while the green G.I.D figure have normal eyes. The coloration on the blank figures are different, of course. They will be available at the same period at the Joint show in Taiwan, TTE in Thailand, Five Points Festival, and the SSF SOLO show in Shanghai.
