#TOYLIFE July 24-30.2017 : The Plastic Bag Chronicles

The dreaded “toys in plastic bag” scenario for collectors such as myself - where (toy) purchases are carried in, and remain IN THE BAG since being purchased, is littered in TOYSREVIL HQ, ironically some even kept in unlabelled brown carton boxes ("unknown bags in unlabelled boxes" FTW), where all other lost toys lay, awaiting to be uncovered and re-discovered … And in his week’s #toyexcavation, we look into the contents of two such bags! Introducing “THE PLASTIC BAG CHRONICLES”!


To be fair: One bag was used to keep random stuff used for toy-shoot/settings prior, while the other bag was actually from my purchase in Thailand, from years back - which ironically I removed from the bag to do a show-off blogpost, then back into the bag they went! OMG LOL

So YES, the “toys in plastic bag”-scenario (now coined “TiPB”) is a GLOBAL phenomenon, okay? LOL

But hey, I'm not the only person with TiPB, right? RIIIIIGHT? :p

Uncovered in this week’s #toyexcavation: SKEKILTOR from the new defunct #HalfbadToyz (this Pearl White Edition was a @tenacioustoys exclusive). This was from #ToyStreet circa 2011! An event I really enjoyed (Covered #onTOYSREVIL: http://bit.ly/2ubdPyD), as I’d felt it was a “community” level grassroots project, versus the “glitter” of mammoth events housed in convention centers, IMHO. #toylife

The pearl white of my SKEKILTOR has somewhat browned and tarnished with time here ... I'm thinking of giving yit a new lease of #toylife by painting over it ... Perhaps someday soon I'll be a able to set aside a workshop space to do all these I've been talking about for the past few years lol Uncovered in this week's #toyexcavation

#RATFINK toy uncovered in this week's #toyexcavation! #toylife This is an insanely awesome sculpt, with intense detailing that needs to be seen in-hand and in-person, rather than thru photos, IMO. I'm still trying to remember WHERE and WHEN I got this tho... #epic
