The above renders for 3 past incarnations of celluloid Jokers; Jack Nicholson ("Jack Napier" in 1989's "Batman"), the late Heath Ledger (2008's "The Dark Knight"), and Jared Leto (first seen in 2016's "Suicide Squad"), was joined by Joaquin Phoenix over the weekend (well, that certainly escalated pretty quickly), from Todd Phillips' upcoming feature film; "Joker".
The Hollywood-fascination of "fictional comicbook villains" continues with a standalone Joker film from DC Comics, alongside Sony's "Venom", innit? Not long after "Thanos" from Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" ... seems "villains" are "good business"... And as "entertaining" the movies are for me personally, I am unsure how to feel about this "trend" of glorification and perhaps even justification ("warped" or otherwise) of evil / bad deeds?
Sure, throw the "fictional character"-card at me LOL ... and yeah, its just "entertainment" after all, innit?
