ATYPICAL SINGAPORE: Chan + Hori Contemporary in Moscow & Daniel Yu's Luna Beast & Cleric!
As part of the global campaign, Passion Made Possible, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Chan + Hori Contemporary have collaborated to launch the showcase Atypical Singapore. The exhibition features art from seven contemporary artists handpicked by Chan + Hori Contemporary’s curatorial director and partner, Khairuddin Hori.
One artist/practisioner familiar to this blog in the line-up, is Daniel Yu, who brought along his LUNAR BEAST and CLERIC in a giant inflatable pair! Both characters has since been made resin collectibles (by Daniel himself), and Lunar Beast is as well now a vinyl collectible character (made by Unbox Industries), who will the base figure of choice for an upcoming custom show to be held in Singapore somewhen end of the year.
Meanwhile, here are some more snaps to share...
As mentioned by Daniel in his Instagram (image below), the travelling exhibition will next be headed to Yangon, Myanmar (formerly known as "Burma"), and folks might be seeing a new colorway of these beast? NIIIICE
