And while I'd previously Instagrammed snaps (above slideshow) I'd taken at Culture Cartel 2018 for the BE@RBRICK COLLECTION showcased display, this'll be the first time seeing this on the TOYSREVIL-blog, along with new images (by Angeline Kang), for archival and your gawking pleasures, of course :)
Amassed and on-show was a splendid collection of 400% sized BBs - all of whom had belonged to Shawn Wee, along with the 1000% PEKOs, while all other 000% BBs belong to a collector named "Jimi" (Thanks for the heads, Shawn!).

BEARBRICKS has become the defacto lifestyle status collectible, with its licensed hypebeast brands and pop culture recognisable characters, and generally acknowledged by folks keen to collect a slice of the Scene-Culture, IMHO - it does not matter who you are - Collector, Connoisseur or Artist/Designer. It started out as a basic entry-level accessible collectible, since blossomed to a status-symbol of sorts, with names attached to these production collectibles to signify you have become "legit" to the adoring masses!
You might not necessarily know who or what the low-brow artists/collectibles featured regularly in this niche blog of mine are - in the context of BB production figures (which has been evolving through the years), but BBs are even basic toynews to hype-sites around the world, and a warm salute to Medicom Toy for making it so, IMHO.
