PABLO PICASSO SD from funnymodelclub
Thailand-based "FMC" AKA "funnymodelclub" sends word of their new release: "Pablo Picasso SD", along with a swell selection of images! The personality portrayed here in the late artist "Pablo Picasso", wat the "SD" more likely meaning "Super-Deformed", with this particular aesthetic style of design.
Released since May 17th, the 24cm tall resin figure can be had for US$142 per painted resin (above), or US$64 for unpainted resin kit. Limited to an edition of 500pcs worldwide, folks interested can head here to place an order on Facebook.
Besides the figure aesthetics, what I enjoy about this release is what looked like a profile of human-face-shaped base it is standing on, with the painted edition featuring the form morphed into a lady's balled-up body!

BACKGROUND STORY: "We decide to make a new collectible line about "famous person(s)" in the world. This all begun because we want to collect this kind of model but couldn't find anything that satisfied us, so we decided to make it for ourselves, and of course for everyone too! "
WHY "PICASSO"?: "Because we really like Picasso ... He is really mankind's legend, a talent artist that gave us so many a inspirations all the time, so we decided to make the first one in homage to Pablo Picasso."
