Spotted this series on pre-order via Strangecat Toys, featuring character figurines created by South Korean toy artist&designer 오수빈 Ari Abiru (www / IG @abiru_ari) and produced by 19八3 Toys!
"Abiru in Wonderland" consists of 5 regular models and 5 different colors and 2 hidden models. A display box includes 5 regular models + 7 different colors or hidden models. Secret is 'Alice's Tea Times'! Her iconic character design now adorns the citizens of Wonderland! I've always wanted a "Abiru", and now I can literally afford one!
A discounted price of US$138.00 for a full display box, while a single blind box is US$12.00. Release is scheduled for July 5th.
Quite frankly I am pretty appreciative of the deluge of "blind box mini-figures" in the scene, as - very selfishly - it allows me personally to have a chance at owning a artist work, without have to break my back or bank to do it. Coupled with a very serious lack of physical space, SIZE does matter, at least to this toy-collector :)
