"Cherry-Picker" Painted Prints by Buff Monster for Aug 2/2019 Release
Scheduled for a Friday August 2/2019 release from @buffmonster are a small run of painted prints featuring the Cherry Picker.
"The cherry is the source and embodiment of the power of The Melties. This character is appropriately and expectedly super excited with the cherry and with life. I originally painted this character in 2012, but I redrew him recently for this print.
For this new very small-edition print, I took some prints from the archive, cut them down, splattered them with spray paint, and silkscreened the Cherry Picker on top. They’re numbered in an edition of 30, but each one is unique. 9x12 inches; signed and dated on the back. With more colors of spray paint and silkscreen ink, there are some really nice new colorways that weren't available in the last edition."
And the result is a series of recycled art(work) that I really appreciate the concept for, IMHO. A lot of times artists "hand embellish" their work, while THIS takes it to a another level of "Maximum Effort"! AND it looks great too, methinks :)
