The Great Wave off Kanagawa in LEGO by Erik Kraa

Witness this "Great wave off Kanagawa-build by Erik Kraan, completed in LEGO, paying homage to a iconic visual, since presented in a variety of genres (including this "UPRISINGS" toy-adaption by Kozyndan). This was what he had to say about the piece, and as well folks can view higher-res images here (uploaded since January 2019) of the ones posted here

"Hokusai (1760-1849) was a Japanese painter and graphical artist. His work influenced European artists, e.g. Vincent van Gogh. The woodblock print "The Great Wave off Kanagawa", from his series "Thirty-six views on the mount Fuji" is one of his best known works. I've wanted to recreate it in Lego for some years, and with the Kockice lug organising a contest around Achievements of the Far East I could not resist the temptation any longer." (January 23, 2019)
