#toynews: ZOMBIE POPEYE 90th anniversary by Luaiso Lopez x ZCWO
Quite literally discovered this collectible while researching for something else: Introducing ZOMBIE POPEYE, with this edition celebrating the 90th anniversary of this fictional character that gets his super-strength by eating canned spinach!
In this "remixed" version (their words, not mine) incarnation, our fav classic spinach-guzzling sailor man is a decaying "zombie", courtesy of Barcelona based @luaiso_lopez, available online here for US$220.00 (inclusive "free shipping" worldwide). Standing 24cm / 9.5-inches tall, this PVC figure is listed as having been available since "November 2019".
Luaiso Lopez is also known for his ZOMBIE MARIO made by Pobber Toys. I'd certainly like to see both these figures side-by-side :)
I've not seen this anywhere else much (or maybe I'm not looking at the right places), but chances are this vinyl figure's license is country-specific? ZCWO also produced Fools Paradise's POPEYE and family of figures, so maybe check in with retailers that might deal with.
