Now THIS is such a suitably themed character design perfect for the coming Chinese Lunar New Year! Introducing THE LION KID from Hong Toy toy-brand BigBoysToys!


Designed by their artist Foon Wong Hiroshi (Insta @foonwong121), the 9.5cm tall vinyl figure features a (removable) lion-dance head, in a new aesthetic as opposed to their earlier"SC Braver" and "NC Braver" lion-dance-head(ed) character releases. What I though particularly apt is the "lettuce" the character clutches in his hands (What the lion "eats") - which in turn is a symbol of "wealth" in traditional/contemporary lion-dances we see now. *Dong-Chiang! Dong-Chiang!*


Priced at HK$330 (approx. US$42 / SG$57 - excludes shipping), the figure comes bagged with header-card (see video below), and will be first made available via HK's Toy Station!
