Registration Guidelines & Navigating www.thailandtoyexpo.com
In anticipation of Online Edition of the 2020 incarnation of THAILAND TOY EXPO, I check out www.thailandtoyexpo.com and screen-grabbed some select pages for your quick reference, and as well list the Registration Process that is needed for your purchase and registration of Lotteries (for THESE collectibles).
Featured up top is the front loading page - which has been "live" on and off since the weekend, no doubt the organisers fine-tuning the page(s), which involved the requirement to LOG-IN your REGISTERED ACCOUNT to participate in purchases and Lotteries: which I think is really apt and suitable, and not necessarily a "free-for-all" open public www-venue, IMHO.
One thing to note - moving forward - the website will be opened for registration from 25th May 2020, at 10AM (GMT+7) onwards.
On the main loading page is also a count-down clock/timer, which folks have been seeing all this while (I was mistaken that there would be a pre-event virtual tour too lol).
One "area" folks would be interested in, is the "Online Queuing Area & Lucky Draw", and as well there is a "Exhibitor's List" ((Which I had featured here previously), and a "Activity Schedule" - which I wonder would be posted direct on the front-loading page (for the day) and changed for each day of the event, instead of needing to click another hurdle .. or maybe folks'll just have to stay connected to their socials (Facebook / Instagram / Twitter) for updates, especially when it could be based on timezone (differences) - which might mean a actual clock on the top of the front loading page, or on every page, for that matter?
In the days leading to the event launch, I reckon clicking thru and reading their FAQs would benefit you cutting down your clicking time to snag pieces? Besides registering and signing into your account.
*I have not registered to see if any "payment system" is required at all, but based on my reading of the following steps, seems transactions are directly through the participating artists themselves.
"*TTE acts only as a platform for this activity. We are not a part of any transaction or shipment at all. Payment methods and shipping fees are dictated by artists and brands themselves.*"Let's have a quick look thru how that is done, shall we? (Below images & text via @ThailandToyExpo).
- All users must register as members to queue up and buy products.
- Register by email or log in with your social media accounts.
*All information must be accurate because artists and/or staff will contact you via the email you use to register or the one linked to your social media account.
- Verification email will be sent to your email account. Please click "Activate account" for access. (If there's no mail received in your Inbox, please check your Junk Mail or Spam folder).
- Once your Registration is successful, you can log in and see the Exhibitor List, Online Queuing, and Activity Schedule webpages.
There are 2 main ways you can buy the exclusive toys in #TTEOnlineEdition - via First Come, First Served-basis, and/or via Lottery (*this solely depends on the artists).
>>> "First come, first serve" will be according to the number of products for sale.
>> "LOTTERY" will be randomly picked by artists according to the number of products for sale. Looks to be not necessarily conducted by the staff of TTE...
For "1st come, 1st serve", do follow these steps:
- Log in (Register here).
- Go to "Online Queuing" menu.
- Select the products that you want to queue up for.
*Those who are eligible to buy will receive an email with the reference code. The artist themselves will contact the customers to inform about the purchasing process via the registered email. Do keep a lookout in your spam folders as well tho - don't miss out!
*The customers must validate and finish up the payment in a selected timeframe. Otherwise, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
For Lotto/Lottery, Please follow these steps:
- Log in (Register here).
- Go to "Online Queuing" menu.
- Select the products that you want to participate in.
- Members must click to receive a code within 1 hour or a selected timeframe from the artist. After that, the artist will randomly draw by themselves.
*After the registration window, the system will close automatically.
*The artist will draw up and contact the lucky fans to inform about the purchasing process via the registered email.
*Lucky fans must validate and finish up the payment in a selected timeframe. Otherwise, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
*Lottery and drawing are solely up to the artists, TTE has no part in the process.
*Emails will be sent from the system, please check the announcement period on our fan page, your email inbox (including your Junk Mail or Spam folder).
Essentially ALL screen grabs seen thus far are based of a desktop web-browser, and os not doubt different from a mobile phone - which the above screen grab is from (IG). So do check them out before the 28th, so you can hopefully have a smoother experience during TTE (*Hoping your internet or connectivity does not lag wherever you may be :p).
As mentioned up top, the website at www.thailandtoyexpo.com will be opened for registration from 25th May 2020 at 10AM (GMT+7) onwards. The next thing you might need to know are WHEN the timed activities happen for WHAT item(s) - if there are specific time-frames or sales start dates (Imagine you are the 11th person to queue up for the "10-pcs-limited" because you misjudged the drop-time :p).
One thing I am concerned about now (first thing on my mind, actually), is the actual shipping of your successfully purchased item - if it CAN ship to where you live, dependant on which countries might be in lockdown etc ... so maybe folks might want to consider having proxies/buddies in countries where international shipping is still available? Or if this is even doable in the first place - subject to the sellers, and who buys what, I suppose. Or simply to have the chased item kept with the seller until such time shipping is doable?
As for scoring that item? Leave it to Lady Luck! Good luck with out toy-hunts, people!
Now CLICK HERE to find out what will be made available during their event, which will run from May 28th thru to May 31st, 2020!
