Wonder Festival 2020 [Autumn] Cancelled!
Organizers for Wonder Festival in Japan has since announced on their official Twitter, that Wonder Festival 2020 (Autumn) has been cancelled, due to COVID-19.
"現状では、ご出展者様、ご来場者様の安全を確保する事が困難であると判断し、開催中止とさせていただきますOriginally scheduled for a one-day only Sunday event on November 1st, it has since been mentioned on their press release page that applications for the event will be voided.
At present, we judge that it is difficult to secure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, so we will stop the event."

With over 5 months to go before the scheduled event-date, they have been prudent indeed to have made this decision. IMHO.
And while "WF2021 [Winter]" is as yet (announced to be) cancelled, the organisers are keeping in mind the situation, while unable to provide a definitive schedule as yet. Applications will be open for this cycle for now, with "participation manual will be published on the official website later."
And while I've never physically been to any Wonder Festival event(s) - who essentially holds TWO shows per, once in Winter and the other in Autumn - I have always felt it was a major hobby-fueled event that both creators and hobbyists/enthusiasts could enjoy/fulfil/dream their geek-lives, and losing this physicality - versus an online one - which we all already dwell in daily, is such a pity ... as are all events since cancelled due to COVID-19 ... but SAFETY FIRST must be the utmost priority! We need to be healthy and alive to continue creating/making/collecting, don't we?
