HOLLOW MICKEY (Grey Edition) by Daniel Arsham x APPortfolio for July 15/2020 Online Release
Art platform APPortfolio sends word that they will be releasing the GREY Edition of "HOLLO MICKEY" from Daniel Arsham online here starting July 15th (from 10pm Hong Kong time).
The resin sculpture is sized 40CM tall (Box size: 41CM x 43CM x 44CM), each priced at HKD 12,800 (approx. US$1,651 / SG$2,297), with a global limit of 500pcs.

Daniel Arsham’s "Hollow Mickey" series is inspired by Mickey in the animated short film "Thru the Mirror." The collection was designed as a two-piece set representing Mickey's other self in the mirror. In July this year, APPortfolio will launch the grey edition of "Hollow Mickey,” completing the "Hollow Mickey" series. In addition, this work also adopts the NFC-enabled anti-counterfeiting authentication label to protect the rights and interests of buyers."
WHAT-IS: "Daniel Arsham's “Hollow Mickey,” which was featured at the “Mickey: The True Original Exhibition,” in New York, was a hot topic around town at the time. Arsham once told media that his work in the DISNEY COLLECTION BY DANIEL ARSHAM was a new imagining based on an original Walt Disney animation. In this animated short, Mickey seemed to step through different spatial dimensions, entering another world through a "mirror.”"
