BLACKPINK in Your Area: Music Video for "Ice Cream (with Selena Gomez)"

*SELPINK IN YOUR AREA*

I waited and watched with extreme interest the premiere of BLACKPINK X Selena Gomez's "ICE CEAM" Music Video, and quite frankly cannot get enough of the color palette - which was a summer explosion of acid pastels, with a hint of urbanised suburban flavour, less aggressively dramatic as their "How You Like That" MV, IMHO, and I am enjoying what I see! Loving the literal "BLACK" and "PINK"-visual vibes too! And NO, this is not a "song review", so chill :p

And before folks exclaim "Why the heck is Kpop doing on this blog???" = tis primarily because I'd wanted to share my impressions - specifically of the color palette, and also I am loving Kpop, so it's just an excuse to post HERE, as I normally do on my music-blog TUNES-TALK instead lah (:p)... PLUS the "kitty ice cream cone" is FUN lol ... *Would make fun customs, methinks :p

Consider this a point of reference to what is, and might be, or going to be trending for a demographic, that has since counted 1.8 millions views within 85 minutes into it premiering on youtube (not counting the 99K "dislikes" tho - ouch) ... and it's not necessarily about "following a trend" - which might not be the direction for all creators and artists, of course, but maybe sometimes it could be a resource to tap on, IMHO ... and how many of you folks out there instinctively would call this "Barbie"?

Beyond the design, art direction, fashion and hype, they also have a online merchandise page: shop.blackpinkmusic.com/ - offering up a ridiculous range of apparel, lifestyle items - so understand too its not just about the music anymore, in this day and age, innit?

TOYS, STICKERS, TEES, TOTES ... what else does one "need" these days? :)
