"The Slap Heard Across The World"
Since when did "Western Hollywood media" became "the world"? And there wasn't the "PIAK" one would associate with a "SLAP", but still it happened, and for a split-social-second, we were wondering if this was REAL LIFE, or scripted REEL LIFE?
So this became the most talked about situation in the recent 2022 Academy Awards show, which essentially overshadowed everyone else's cinematic achievements, flooding online chatter (at least on my timelines), instead of celebrating the wins and achievements, and quite frankly is a testament to the state of the wwworld right here and now, isn't it? Realising I had my opinions too, then also realising no one asked and I am not needed to add to the multiple judgements online now, versus the new situation where we in Singapore are no longer mandated to wear face-masks in public ... maybe that's why my online blogs and venues remain anonymously unrequited without my engagement on current affairs ~ LOL
