TOYSREVIL: Is "Sneaker Drive" your first designed collectible toy figure

GEORGE CHU: No, as a founder of @deviltoysltd and @merrygoroundfamily, I'd designed lot of toys in these eight years, I had designed the Devil Toys - War of Order series, Mecha Will Rise - DXIII, FX01 and Zero, also I am the producer of Quiccs 1:6 and 1:12 series figure.

TOYSREVIL: What was the inspiration for Sneaker Drive? I've often seen on IG @george_deviltoys mechas and giant robots, so seeing this was exciting!

GEORGE CHU: I had been playing basketball for 20 years and I've love sneakers since (the) 90's! I have always thought about "what if all the sneakers are robots and how they live in our world, or near future?".

TOYSREVIL: What are your influences? (Games, Cartoon, Toys, Fashion etc).... And how do they impact and affect your design process?

GEORGE CHU: I love Transformers and Gundam, also most of the mecha animation form Japan and US, those are my influences.

"Sneaker Drive"
In the near-future world, due to the great improvement of technologies such as artificial intelligence and mechanical muscles, sport competitions with robotic athletes will emerge as the times require.

Among them, robotic athletes are the most popular for fisticuff basketball games. On-site tickets are even more difficult to purchase. The appearance of robots is used by many advertisers to promote their own products. There are many robot designers who pay homage to the favorite shoes ever made and turn them into a robotic shell. These colorful sneaker-shaped robots are called by the world --- "Sneaker Drive".

Sneaker Drive 01- SD-G03-01(SG) -Matador:
The SD designed with the most classic color: red, white and black. The third-generation competitive sports robot is extremely athletic and has an artificial intelligence character that will never give up, swears to defeat the "Emperor" and wins the global iron basketball competition championship screw ring.
