Black Adam vs SHAZAM! - The Fury of the Comicbook Source Cannot Be Denied...!

Two separate feature films.
Two projects' history and path intertwined in the comic books, but perhaps some time to go before the cinematic equivalent is reached or achieved.

Both projects has trailer and sneak peeks revelaed at last week's San Diego Comic Con ... let's have a look, shall we?

BLACK ADAM Action Figures

The above action figure line-up from McFarlane's Toys was revealed prior to the moving visuals footage (and perhaps "gave away" the villain character?)!

A one-plus-minuter sneak-peek from BLACK ADAM sees more of the Justice Society in action (from the previous teaser), and as well a bit more of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as he flexed on stage in Hall H and as well in this sneak-peek.

The "world" preferred "anti-heroes" (whom we used to call "villains" back the day, remember? LOL)... and now we're gonna get one heck of a super-powered one come October 21st, 2022...!

With Black Adam and Shazam! (Also known as "Captain Marvel" in comic books, which we cannot seem to call them now :p) sharing somewhat similar historically and wizardry-linked connections, DC is taping into both a "magic"-based concept, and as well a interlinked concept that might one day crescendo into a "saga" to threaten or mirror the MCU's (which to me is not necessarily in the hands of the Big Three: Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman, but of other characters in the fold, IMHO.

That said, the full trailer for the sequel to 2019's Shazam! was released, with SHAZAM: FURY OF THE GODS - which featured what-looks-to-be more hijinks and comedy from the first film, bolstered by a period swords-n-sandals visual foil to urban Americana with Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, continuing to delve into the "ancient Gods"-origins of the DC Cinematic Universe. Can't say I was a "huge fan" of the first film, but... somehow I'd imagine Black Adam pummelling Shazam, and I would end up really enjoying it... Heh.

But you know what? Everything would be resolved once Black Adam recognises Shazam to be teenager "Billy Watson", which'll remind him of his dead son ... hey, I was okay when "Martha" came between Superman and Batman, I sure as heck's not going to put THIS schtick away in the Rock of Eternity...! LOL
